Whole30 week 2 update (with pictures!)

I cannot believe today is Day 15 of my Whole30 journey! I’m on the downhill side of the month and nothing’s stopping me now!!! (Read more about what this journey is all about here.)

Here’s some pictures taken on Day 1 and Day 8. I realize most of the change is due to the shedding of water but I’m excited about the real (and hopefully) lasting changes to my relationship with food and fat loss.side-view---1front-view---1back-view---1

The most surprising development in the last week is my mindset. This way of eating is becoming second nature and I can honestly say the thing I miss most from my old way of eating is not specific foods but convenience. Especially when it comes to breakfast foods. There are just no convenient and whole foods besides fruit and vegetables. And even those need some prep work.

Some of the things I’ve been eating: boiled eggs, avocado with tuna (but I noticed my canned tuna in water has SOY in it! What??!!), skillets of sautéed veggies, steak, salmon, fruits of all kinds, sugar snap peas and sweet potatoes.

I’ve been able to modify the meals I make for my family and as a result the whole lot of us are eating healthier (and nobody has even noticed!). Win win!
